Alana De La Garza has made a name for herself through her appearances on TV. De La Garza, a Mexican American father and Irish American mother, were both born in Columbus Ohio on June 26 1977. Her move to Texas in order to pursue the career of an Occupational Therapist within the University of Texas. De La Garza did not stay in Texas in a long time and quickly relocated into Orlando Florida, where she was able to take on various acting roles, including commercials and independent films. Despite her small role, De La Garza began to realize her love for acting. The year 2001 saw her move in New York where her first character was on All My Kids' daytime soap opera, playing Rosa Santos. In the beginning of 2000, she had small parts in JAG Las Vegas and Two and a Half Men. Her first major part came in 2004's short dramatic The Mountain.
